PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
The 1.0-liter Chevrolet B10S1 or LA2 engine was produced from 2002 to 2009 in South Korea and was installed on the smallest models of the company, such as Spark or Matiz. The version of the power unit before 2004 is seriously different and is often referred to simply as the B10S.
The B series includes engines: B10S1, B10D1, B12S1, B12D1, B12D2, B15D2.
The engine was installed on:
Chevrolet Spark M200 in 2005 – 2009;
Daewoo Matiz in 2002 – 2009.

Disadvantages of the B10S1 engine
This engine is not considered problematic, but its life rarely exceeds 200,000 km;
A sign of an imminent overhaul is a significant drop in compression in the cylinders;
The timing belt with a roller needs to be changed every 40,000 km, otherwise it will bend the valve if it breaks;
Valve clearances require adjustment every 50,000 km, there are no hydraulic lifters;
From low-quality gasoline, candles quickly deteriorate, fuel injectors clog.
