    Disadvantages of the N57D30 engine

    The service life of this diesel engine is highly dependent on the quality of the fuel and oil used;
    The intake manifold swirl flaps are the first to overgrow with soot and jam;
    If the EGR valve is not cleaned, the intake will become clogged with soot and the engine will start to run unevenly;
    Closer to 100,000 km, the crankshaft damper gradually collapses and begins to make noise;
    With long oil change intervals, the resource of the turbine and timing chain is about 200,000 km.
